Dear penfriend...

Martedì 4 Novembre il postino di Grumello ha recapitato a scuola un bustone contenente lettere per tutti gli alunni delle classi II e III. Inizia così il "gemellaggio" epistolare con gli alunni della scuola "La Salle Language Academy" di Chicago. La loro insegnante è Miss Katie Plakas, ex-nostra insegnante madrelingua. I nostri alunni risponderanno alle lettere in italiano e in inglese, dato che gli studenti americani studiano italiano come lingua straniera. A chi non piacerebbe avere un penfriend!!! Tutti erano entusiasti.

On Tuesday 4th November the postman in Grumello delivered a big envelope full of letters for all the pupils in class II and III. We officially started the "letter twinning" with the students of "La Salle Language Academy" in Chicago. Their teacher is Miss Katie Plakas, our ex-mothertongue teacher. Our students will write responses both in Italian and English, since the American penpals study Italian as a foreign language. Who wouldn't like to have a penfriend!!! Everybody was excited.
