Il PRESENT SIMPLE serve per raccontare le azioni della nostra vita che avvengono tutti i giorni o più o meno frequentemente.
FORMA AFFERMATIVA
I play the guitar
You play tennis
He/she playS the piano
We play football
You play badminton
They play hockey
REGOLE forma affermativa:
-
alla III persona sing (he, she, it) bisogna aggiungere al verbo S
-
-ES (se finisce con o, x, ch, sh, s, ss, z).
-
se il verbo termina con consonante+Y la desinenza sarà –IES (he studies English)
FORMA NEGATIVA:
I don’t play the flute
you don’t play basketball
he/she doesn’t play volleyball
we don’t play the drums
you don’t play the guitar
they don’t play the keyboard
REGOLE forma negativa:

soggetto (persona) + don’t/doesn’t + verbo alla forma base

doesn’t si usa se il soggetto è he, she, it
NOTE:
Don’t è l’abbreviazione di do not
Doesn’t è l’abbreviazione di does not
Il verbo alla forma base è il verbo all’infinito (senza il “to” davanti, senza S aggiunta)
FORMA INTERROGATIVA (domande):
Do I/you /we/they play football?
Does he/she play cricket?
REGOLE forma interrogativa:

do/does + soggetto (persona) + verbo alla forma base

does si usa se c’è he, she o it
